I fired the bitch yesterday. She didn't show up to her MANDATORY training and that was it, I'd had enough!! I called and left a message on her voicemail telling her that because of the texting and the no show, I was rescinding her employment. I didn't mention showing up an hour late to training because there's a possibility she was telling the truth although she knows better and should have left herself more time. So when I came in this morning there was a message from her telling me that she had to take her father to the doctor and then she had class and that she had no time to call me. Ok, she's got a cell phone and obviously uses it as she's gotten in trouble for using it at the front desk already, but she couldn't use it to call me and let me know her situation, even after I'd given her a wallet size card with the front desk phone number, my desk phone number AND my cell phone number. Stupid, lazy cow!! THEN she wanted to know if she'd still be paid for her hours yesterday!!!!!!!! Um hello, news flash, you've got to show up to work to get paid!! DUH!!!
Sigh..............................and she's in the nursing program!!!!

Even then,you get paid to work, not to turn up and text your mates! You did right... second day in we're still in "Make a good first impression" territory.
Good for you. Some people just don't get it... and she was one of them. I sure hope that she's never my nurse. I have a nasty habit of throwing my mashed potatoes at rude/incompetent nurses. It started when I was a yound child.
Hahaha, I sure hope none of us gets her as a nurse!
Remind me that I don't want to be admitted to whereever she's working...
